This is our oldest grand daughter, Nichole, standing beside a tree that was hit by lightning, It seems as if the lightning made the bark of the tree be stripped off from the top of the tree to the bottom.The bark that fell to the
ground was lying there and
was in a very long strip and
was very heavy.
We don't know if the tree was struck just once, or if it was hit quite a few times, but it was a very strange happening to run into in the woods.

Did one of the girls take the bark for show and tell? That's so weird.
What an unusual 'find'! I have never seen anything like that!
